Although the naming conventions of the Git-stuff is pretty confusing. I think the installation of stable releases should work b4 spending much time to get "all cases work perfectly". I did not found any stable release with this did not work. url would be: $version.windows.1/PortableGit-$version-$Arch-bit.7z.exe.scoop install the url you need to hard-code the "windows.1" part, because this are the stable releases. set the install syntax to just $majorVersion.$minorVersion.$patchVersion.To get the "stable" ones work out of the box you just need to apply the changes as follow: currently just no "old" versions are possible for git.
